Uzair Dada

Managing Partner

Uzair has had over 15 years of business development, channel marketing, and strategy consulting experience working with Global 3000 and emerging technology companies. At Iron Horse Ventures he focuses on helping clients with their channel sales, product marketing strategy, and market development efforts globally. His recent clients include Intel, K.K. Birla Group (India), Cisco, and Accela. Uzair has significant industry and private equity relationships, which have been instrumental in helping our clients gain customer validation and successfully execute go-to-market programs.

Uzair is a co-creator of the Digital Communities (DC) program and continues to lead and manage it with e-Republic. With his strategic direction, e.Republic launched the Worldwide Digital Communities online destination and Digital Communities Magazine. The program is recognized for its leadership in world wide digital community best practice and technology use.

Prior to Iron Horse Ventures, Uzair worked at Intraware, Deloitte Consulting, Apple Computer, Kidder, Peabody, and Citibank. Selected companies he has consulted for include Microsoft, Intel, Hewlett Packard, at&t, Ascend Communications, Cisco, Dell Computer, Knova Software and Kaiser Permanente.

Uzair holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from University of California at Berkeley and an MBA from Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University.

Wendy Haig

Partner

Wendy has over 20 years of experience that includes business development, interactive marketing and marketing communications with Global 500 and emerging companies. At Iron Horse she helps clients with demand generation strategies based on evolving habits and preferences of customers and the objective of maximizing their effectiveness in communicating, selling and reaching their goals online.

Prior to joining Iron Horse Interactive she served as Executive Vice President for Simdesk Technologies, an on-demand software company, where she was responsible for developing strategy as well as bringing in large-scale opportunities in the US and Asia, and overseeing the Strategic Initiatives group. Prior to Simdesk, she was the founder of Global Strategy Corp.; a Washington, DC based strategic consulting company focused on the technology sector. She also served as Chief Operations Officer for CivicZone and Director of Marketing Communications for Worldspace, (WRSP) NASDAQ.

Wendy is an author whose book was published by St. Martin's Press, NY. She has also written numerous articles most recently for Government Technology/Digital Communities Magazine, and businessweek.com, and is also a seasoned public speaker. In 2006 she was named by Fast Company Magazine to their Fast Company’s 2006, 50 Readers Favorites List. Wendy has served as a senior staff member for strategic planning on a political campaign at the presidential level.

She has appeared on The Lehrer News Hour, Tech TV, Silicon Spin, and has been written about in The Washington Post, Detroit Free Press, New York Post, San Francisco Chronicle, Business 2.0, Entrepreneur, Yahoo! Finance Vision, Houston Chronicle, InfoWorld and USA Today.
